One Thundery Thursday Summer's Day  13 August 2015

Dawlish, Devon, England, UK

from the train tracks on the move

The ocean as far as one can see on the route to London from Kernow of outstanding natural beauty

Beyond gorgeous... and wow ...

A memorable route and much touted in literature

The history too for the maintenance in the line running by this sea, the most recent in 2014

A Captivating Summer ...

no matter if blue or grey sky, sun or drizzle ... flora fauna and fun in walks on a busman style break in the north of England awhile ... walking off the gorgeous array of food and beverages not experienced much in seasons lost ... past ... and now gone ....

A Brief Moment in a Floral Park ... At the end of June this year ...

The many generations of the in laws spending many times here ... now I am one of few left in the area
This where my late mum in law played with her siblings and cousins when they too were young children ... while their parents knitted in previous times ... then my late husbands generation and so on ... I now come here to adapt during the grieving process of so much lost .... And reclaiming time in seasons, months, days and moments ....

Park life

At least the sun shone in this part of the, world through the the beauty stunning in sight and smell if you are fortuitous not to suffer from the pollen in the air ... And have use of the senses ... To witness the sights shared by all in the towns recreational areas ... The luxury for me after the sight of walls enclosed in time, lost to others with the ignorance at that time

Beauty beyond

Gardens, fountains and ponds
The swallows and swifts
A lot of morning birdsong.
Paths, hedgerows and ditches,
in colour a vibrancy enriches.
Cornish coves, harbours and quays,
cuttings through trails from rails
Streams, in rivers and brooks
in childlike wonder I look
from bridges in steel and stone
up and over, under in the echo shown
Bogs, marshes and sewers
underground springs,
boats, buoys and a wreck.
Ducks, geese sand swans
cygnets, a newly born calf,
wobbly on its legs,
The dogs, horses and ponies
bikes in tandem
Strangers in hello.
Wildflowers in abundance
vetch, clover red and white
words in pictures a sight.

... broken flowers ... fragrant in a kitchen ..

... from a Cornish garden
sweet peas and roses ... June 2016 ...
A little like moi ... though a long time broken ...

Caution ... Flashing images ...

Time gone in a flash
now more of time
spent in smiles
that tis the new style
cos all awhile
as soon as here
in a blink it's clear
into memories gone.

A look back on these days at play

a twenty fifth of May
from an isle or a mission
to see if my writings
come to fruition,
from these  times ambition

Fountain in a fountain...

in formal gardens ... Memories in Kernow of time spent on an estate opened to the public in which are remembered by all from that time

The secret passages ... Nooks and crannies and time in their fountain on a much larger scale ... The woodland drive ... The fields  as on all these many estates in the West Country visited past and hope to again one day ... ?

The whispers of time,

where things were fine,
Are surfacing a tad,
At what we had.
You may be lost,
To us, in the dust.
Where there was two,
In just as a few,
It is around in,
All that I do.
The seasons since through,
In happiness times a spew.
Where the time flew,
People still are no wiser near,
In ignorance of time here,
Where end is soon clear.

How I see the world at times

a sea of blur
 on from the murmurs
left alone in that cyclone
a tornado of dreams
of time alone
in cold winds blow
that kept us low
from those too slow
that blamed the sot
and left me with the lot

The change in view

A view of Bodmin Moor in the distance

The change in view,
From the builds anew.
Now many and not just a few,
Here too was a panoramic view.
Of pure fields of green and gold,
Now obscured by greed of old.

From where I stood
This photo taken
Squeezed in under the hood
Open space now forsaken
Either side the grey of concrete
In spaced once where green secreted

A Church nestled in a Cornish hill ...

I used to walk by here to work ...
A Kernow lane also a walk to and fro over the many years
until the lost time ... getting to see this too is a charm ...

Cornwall ... A Church ... A lane ... of many in the area ... 2016 ...

The haunting sounds

Of music found
Reaping the love
Hard work abound
The care too
In restoring here through
From shades of black grey and blue
To more colourful hues ...

Still Blooming ...

... A Week on from Mothers' day ...

... 13-3-16 ...
well at least with my eyesight ... I think our eyesight starts failing at a certain age; so when we look we do not see the wrinkles start appearing so badly ... A natural age defy optical illusion ...

A Bridge Well Trod and Driven ...

And some funny embarrassing moments when the wind tunnel here whips up your clothes revealing more than necessary

My Kernow Town...
December 2015
A town like all towns steeped in history ... I came across on clearing a cube of furniture ... a booklet of historical photos etc on this once market and harbour town ...

More than Fascinating ...

A Messy Mind at Work ... Fathoming Out Life In between these images ... with time in and out of the Muddled Home too ...

Dabbling in colour shading
Finding the way round the electronic sketch pad
And doing a bit of cooking ... my way ...
A Pizza of sorts ... home cooked throughout with limited cooking implements
In a kitchen once lost in time and getting tomatoes as near as home grown as possible ...
Scribbling away too
Simple Shapes

With the hope of focusing and finishing one day ... a still life or seascape as I once did or whatever ...
And Remembering Truro late last year near Christmas Time ...

This view of the Cathedral spires kept appearing in the view from the multi storey car park down to here on the cobbles

Creating instead Sleeping ...

Been unwell and dizzy. Therefore been virtual drawing with a tablet instead of sketch paper and paint, then putting it together a bit like scrapbooking that I had wanted to take up prior to hubby being unwell himself. Instead of photos stuffed in most homes and  haphazard sometimes, too I used to keep memories sorted to flick through, with daughter. One of the many items I am currently working through, as I work through what I would like in my memory book. Also as people said to me at outset of becoming a widow. I have the grandchildren to look forward to.
